Always wear your seatbelt

This passed Monday at around 4:20pm, a 16-year old was involved in a car accident. Kyle Nevins, a student at Vero Beach High School in Indian River County was driving down 27th Avenue Southwest, when he failed to stop for the slowing car in front of him, causing a multi car pile up.

It was said that Kyle swerved to the left in order to avoid rear ending the car in front of him, traveling into the southbound lane and hitting an oncoming vehicle. this then caused Nevins’ car to overturn and be crushed. Unfortunately this young man was pronounced dead at the scene from being tossed around in the car and the impact on his body from lack of his seat belt. No other people were harmed during the accident according to the police report.

According to the police they responded to the home on Indian Hill Road around 10:30am. After the family found the victim they immediately called 911.
